Project Colonial Presentations underway
We are starting our project by reading from our textbooks, notes, and websites to create a presentation on the Lord'sProprietors, Cash Crops, and the Gullah culture. They will use this research to create a Google Slides presentation to share with their classmates and on our blog. Stay tuned.

Book Presentations
We have read some pretty awesome and interesting books in our Guided Reading sessions recently. The students decided they wanted to share the books and what they learned with their friends. They took full control of this project. Using Google Slides, they created presentations with evidence from the text and images from google and the text. After completion, they shared their book presentations with the class.
Here are a few examples...
Daniel's Presentation
Maile's Presentation
Hunter's Presentation
Great job to my entire crew!
They enjoyed creating the presentations so much that we are going to create early colonial presentations in Social Studies. Stay tuned.. this will be a great resource to use as you prepare for the test!

Owl Pellets
We explored owl pellets (AKA- Owl Vomit) today! We are learning in Science how organisms pass energy to one another in a food chain. Owls eat their entire meal whole and regurgitate what they can't digest, like the bones and hair. Eeewww. And then crazy people like us actually buy it and dig through it! HAHA!
Below is a video we viewed on a man who has made a living off of collecting and sanitizing owl pellets before selling them to schools.
