The students proudly worked in their expert groups yesterday. Each group will begin presenting their region on Monday.
Their presentation will include major cities, industries, landforms, natural resources, and other important and fun facts about their region.
Here is the Blue Ridge region!
Piedmont!
Sandhills!
Coastal Zone
We completed the Inner and Outer Coastal Plains together as a class.
I am excited for our crew to take the Driver's Seat and teach their friends!
Check back to see their presentations soon!
I can't wait to see and hear about their presentations! I loved learning the song about the regions of SC! Question for the Piedmont group... Piedmont gets it name from 2 French words, "pied" and "mont." Have you learned what these words mean? The answer tells you a fact about this region!
ReplyDeleteAh, interesting fact Mrs. Kanipe! I can't wait to see their presentations too! I love the hand signals for each region.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Kanipe, thank you for the great question! This was an awesome start to our Social Studies time today. We researched this as a class and discussed that our beautiful region means "foot of the mountains". We discussed that "foot of the mountains" means we are at the bottom of the mountains. As we drive toward Inman we can see a glimpse of the Blue Ridge mountain Region.
