Sweet Carolina...

I love our beautiful state. Living in the south is a blessing that many of us take for granted. Our state is rich in history, beauty, and plenty of good ol' southern charm! When Dr. Patterson called me into his office and shared the exciting news with me that I was moving to 3rd grade, I had many emotions and initial feelings, 'This is a huge jump from 5K to 3rd', 'I can do it! No wait, this is going to be tough!', 'I love SC history, this is going to be so fun!', 'Can I teach math?' (ha!)! The list goes on. Now here I am, 2nd official day of summer break, creating a 3rd Grade blog, studying standards, and pinning everything Pinterest has to offer. I am THRILLED!

I feel like a kid again! I'm getting Savannah Southern Belle dressed in her finest Southern attire, Lilly Pulitzer of course, garnished with pearls, and she is heading to the edge of America with us to soak up some sun in Garden City. Hopefully, I can talk my husband into driving through Charleston before heading home!
I am excited to be teaching SLA at Oakland in June!

Here are the electronic copies of the 3rd Grade Summer Reading list and summer project!
